Every Little Piece Counts
LEGO Apple Park

Designed by Foster + Partners and opened in 2017, Apple Park is the 175 acre company headquarters of Apple located in Cupertino, California. One of the signature elements is the four-storey ring-shaped office building being nicknamed “the spaceship” and hosting 12,000 employees, while the Steve Jobs Theater is famous as the location for recent iPhone launches.

Automotive designer Spencer Rezkalla, who is also an enthusiastic LEGO builder, has been building replicas of famous skyscrapers at approximately 1:650 scale for 15 years. His latest creation is the gigantic LEGO Apple Park model measuring 19 square feet and weighing 77.5 pounds. For reference of its scale, “the spaceship” itself is about 2.5 feet in diameter, and a total of 1,647 LEGO trees were used in the green areas. Rezkalla came across some drone videos documenting the construction progress of Apple Park and the model took him two years to complete. Every bit in Apple Park including the historic Glendenning Barn have be represented in detail. Take a look at Rezkalla’s photo album for more images and notes on this exciting work.
