Celebrating In Japan
Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster 50th Anniversary Japan

Five decades ago, Lamborghini exported its first 400 GT to Japan, a country that now has become its second most important market worldwide in terms of cars sold. Naturally the Italian automaker is marking its 50th year in this Far East country in style.

Lamborghini launched the Aventador S Roadster 50th Anniversary Japan last week. Limited to five units only, the theme of each unit is based on one of the five elements in Eastern culture namely metal, wood, water, fire and earth, making each unit a unique one. The water “version” was shown at Lamborghini Day Concours d’Élégance Tokyo. It took ten specialists and 170 hours to complete the unique body paint of the water version, with shading effects from blue to black. The windscreen frame and the hard top are both made of exposed carbon fibre.

The interior is mainly in black, with special bamboo pattern in gradation colour embroidered on the seats, a task that required a total of 100 working hours from six specialists. The Japanese character of “water” can be found on the hexagonal carbon fibre plate.

Additionally, over 80 Raging Bulls were parading the bustling streets of Tokyo from day to night on Lamborghini Day, passing through famous landmarks including the Tokyo Tower and Ginza district.
