Build Your Own Leica
LEGO Mini Camera kit by Chris McVeigh

Created by Canadian photographer and avid LEGO builder Chris McVeigh, fans of both Leica and LEGO will be thrilled to see this mini Leica M constructed out of LEGO bricks. The mini M camera is tiny — the base plate just a 2×6 LEGO brick. Weighing in at 2 ounces, it is composed of an eye-opening 119 pieces in total.

McVeigh has created numerous interesting unofficial LEGO building kits, with themes ranging from gadgets, food, bonsais, Star Wars and more. The Mini Camera custom building kit, available in black and brown, has been sold out on McVeigh’s website with no plan of re-stocking, although you might want to try your luck pre-ordering it at Leica Store Miami. However, if you don’t want to wait,  head over to McVeigh’s website to download the building guides for the black and brown cameras and DIY it yourself. The element IDs of all the bricks used are listed out in the guides, so you can purchase the parts directly from your local LEGO supplier and build your own cameras today.
