Modernised Retro Concept
Honda Modulo Neo Classic Racer

Honda has revealed its lineup for the 2019 Tokyo Auto Salon, kicking off on the 11th of January. Among the five concepts slated for display, the Modulo Neo Classic Racer is the showstopper without a doubt.

The basis of this little racer is the mid-engine, rear-drive S660. Earlier this year, Honda launched the Neo Classic body kit, which was originally shown as a concept at the 2016 Auto Salon, offering owners of the S660 a chance to update their car with a retro look. The new update now pushes the concept even further by reimagining it with added vintage racing elements. Honda has yet to release any solid details, but the aggressive front and rear spoilers as well as the “riveted” fender flares are certainly hard to miss. Other styling components such as leather bonnet straps, fender-mounted mirrors and headlight covers in the style of racing tape are all retro-inspired, but handled in a modern, tasteful way.
