Breitling for Bentley Supersports B55

Breitling and Bentley first collaborated back in 2002 when the Continental GT was launched. The Swiss watchmaker was involved in the design of the technical instruments and the onboard clock, and soon after, the ‘Breitling for Bentley’ brand was established. To celebrate the launch of the new Continental Supersports, the 500-piece limited Breitling Supersports B55 has been created to complement the fastest Continental to date.

The ‘smart’ functions of the Supersports B55 make it stand out from its peers. Breitling’s in-house B55 connected calibre is the first electric movement for the collection. Besides a lap timer and electronic tachymeter, the watch additionally has three functions, all of which are supported by a smartphone app for storing the data recorded. The Chrono Rally setting records up to 30 rally stages with dates, times and even penalties; the Chrono Race mode tracks circuit racing, recording split times for each lap and calculating the average lap speed; and the Regularity Rally function checks your times against predefined targets.

The design of the timepiece is, as one might expect, influenced by the luxury super car: the 46-millimetre titanium case frames a dial in carbon fibre; both are materials that feature heavily on the Continental Supersports. The chronograph features two LCD screens with a backlighting system that is activated by pressing the crown or just tilting the wrist, and is finished with a red-edged black rubber strap that matches the Continental Supersports’ interior.
