A Fusion of Art and Technology
Brian Eno Turntable II

Renowned musician Brian Eno continues to blur the lines between art and technology with his latest creation, Turntable II. Described by Eno himself as a sculpture even when silent, this innovative piece seamlessly merges aesthetics, functionality, and generative art in a mesmerizing display, complementing his groundbreaking ambient music.

Eno’s Turntable II serves as a sequel to his original Turntable unveiled in 2021, both debuting through the esteemed Paul Stolper Gallery in London. At the heart of Turntable II lies its ability to effortlessly transition through an array of generative ‘colourscapes’. Outfitted with LED lights, the platter and base autonomously shift hues, evoking a hypnotic interplay of light and shadow.

Measuring 45 cm in diameter and standing 15 cm tall, the Turntable II can play records at both 33 and 45rpm speeds. Its exquisite craftsmanship is evident in its frosted cast acrylic body cover and high-precision stainless steel bearing block. Featuring components like the White 8.6-inch Pro-Ject aluminium tonearm and the Ortofon white 2M cartridge, the Turntable II guarantees remarkable sound quality, elevating it to a pinnacle of audio engineering while offering captivating visual allure.

Limited to just 150 units, each Turntable II is priced at £20,000 and will bear Eno’s signature and edition number engraved on the side of the base. Currently, it is showcased at the Paul Stolper Gallery until March 9, 2024.
