Climbing The Pirate Ranks
Skull and Bones

Ubisoft’s long-anticipated Skull and Bones has finally made its debut after enduring several delays. Set in the tumultuous 17th century, this action-adventure game plunges players into the lawless expanse of open seas, beckoning them to rise to dominance within the pirate domain.

Embarking on this perilous journey commences with the gathering of materials to construct your inaugural pirate vessel, all while striving to amass infamy and fortune. From cannons to rockets, players can personalize an arsenal of weapons and armour, tailoring their capabilities to suit diverse attack strategies and defensive manoeuvres. Even the ship’s furnishings offer strategic advantages, whether by enhancing crew stamina generation or expediting weapon reload times — that means that the selection of equipment transcends mere aesthetics, becoming a pivotal aspect of gameplay strategy. Players must also expand their fleets by fulfilling contracts and embarking on treasure hunts to accumulate additional resources.

At the heart of the Skull and Bones experience are its exhilarating naval battles, available in both single-player and co-op modes. Players can band together to tackle shared contracts, reaping the rewards collectively. Furthermore, the inclusion of the Black Market feature, unlocked in later stages, presents opportunities to partake in the clandestine trade of goods for supplementary income.

Skull and Bones is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Amazon Luna.
