100 Years of the RAF
Bremont 1918

The history of the British Empire has left a lot of memories and legacies, 1960s sports cars, World War II fighters, railway networks from the 19th century and the massive warships of the 17th century. It is no wonder that many people today still have strong connections towards anything old and British, including Nick and Giles English, founders of Bremont Watch, whose family has a strong link with the British Royal Air Force.

As 2018 is the 100th anniversary of the British Royal Air Force, Bremont has decided to launch the “Bremont 1918” limited edition watch series to commemorate this important year. The watch series features a 43 mm diameter white, rose gold or stainless steel case and the calibre 13 ¼-inch BE-16AE automatic chronometer, with chronograph and GMT 12 hours and day/night indicator. Three British aircraft, the Bristol Blenheim, Supermarine Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane, are incorporated into the propeller blade in the rotor with their numbers engraved on it. They are complemented by a veneer of original wood from the Shuttleworth Collection’s 1917 SE5a, which can be found at the centre.

The white gold, rose gold and stainless steel versions of Bremont 1918 are limited to 75, 75 and 275 pieces respectively and all of them are paired with an alligator strap. Part of the proceeds from the sale of this watch will go to the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA) for supporting current and former RAF personnel.
