The Beginning Of It All
First Alfa Romeo to be auctioned

This beautiful 1921 Alfa Romeo G1 is going to auction early next year, but just what is so special about this particular vehicle? The G1 is the first model built by the Italian automaker. With only 52 examples built, this particular car is believed to be the only complete G1 left in the world.

The G1 chassis 6018 features a 6.3-litre straight-6 engine and has a top speed of 138 km/h. The vehicle was delivered to Australia after Alfa failed to find enough customers in its home market. The car has been through multiple owners and was restored in the 1970s and 2000s, making it a drivable machine. It was also shown in the 2005 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

The stunning Alfa Romeo G1 will be offered for sale in the RM Sotheby’s 2018 Arizona auction taking place on January 18-19, 2018.
