Tommy Hilfiger has become the official apparel partner for the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team, after the team ended its partnership deal with Hugo Boss last year.
According to the official statement released by the German auto racing team, Hilfiger will supply brand-new race and travel wear, as well as office and hospitality clothing for more than 1,500 individuals who comprise the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport team. Look for the iconic Tommy Hilfiger logo to debut along with the 2018 challenger, W09, trackside at Silverstone on February 22.
Tommy Hilfiger is no stranger to Formula One racing. He previously sponsored the Lotus Team from 1991 to 1994, and became the first non-automotive brand to sponsor Ferrari in 1998, creating uniforms for seven-time Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher and British racing driver Eddie Irvine.
The 2018 F1 season starts at Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit in Australia on March 25.
