Anicorn Watches is gearing up for the much-anticipated NASA Mars 2020 Mission that aims to explore the red planet’s climate, geology data, and signs of life, as well as pave the way for human exploration in the 2030s. With the release date for their next collaboration set to coincide with the mission launch on 30 July, fans better put this one in their diaries — the previously-released Anicorn x NASA 50th anniversary timepiece sold out in just one minute.
The new collection comprises 10 pieces with the limited edition “The Mars Time by Anicorn” watch as the crown jewel. Limited to only 200 examples, the 42mm timepiece is inspired by the Perseverance Rover’s Mars landing site, the Jezero Crater, and features geometric arched discs mimicking the rover’s design. The dial also features the coordinates of Jezero Crater, accompanied by the engraving, “Two Worlds, One Sun”. Powered by the Miyota 9015 automatic movement, it features a running time of over 42 hours and offers water resistance up to 50-metres. The watch is paired with a stainless steel bracelet with engraved details, and a silver textile reflective strap with the NASA logo and a numbered metal plate certificate can be found inside the exclusive aluminium case packaging.
Other interesting pieces in the collection include a scented potpourri with the imagined “aroma” of Mars, duo-coloured stainless steel bracelets, an interactive AR Mars puzzle, a skateboard, and more. Head over to Anicorn’s website for details on the full collection.
