Track-Only MC20
Maserati GT2

Maserati’s MC20 supercar officially debuted in 2020, and almost three years later, the Trident has finally unveiled a track car for GT competitions based on this stunning road weapon.

The GT2 shares the same 621-hp, 3.0-litre Neptune twin-turbo V6 engine found in the road-going MC20, but numerous new features on the race car help unlock its full potential. Instead of an 8-speed transmission, the latest GT2 engine is paired with a 2WD 6-speed sequential racing gearbox with paddle shifters.

It’s difficult to ignore the GT2’s heavily-enhanced bodywork that delivers high-performance aerodynamics — the package features a huge, multi-adjustable rear wing, rear diffuser, and front splitter. The extra vents on the bonnet also ensure the increased cooling demands of endurance motorsport are met.

While most race cars are completely stripped inside, the GT2 retains air conditioning, which is a nice touch for the gentlemen drivers out there who want to stay cool on the grid while safely strapped into their six-point harness, gripping their yoke-style multi-functional carbon-fibre steering wheel.

The Maserati GT2 made its first public appearance at the 24 Hours of Spa, and is expected to race in the entire 2024 Fanatec GT European Series season.
