Toyota C-HR CUV
An interesting choice for Nürburgring

The Nürburgring 24 Hours has always been considered a demanding event. Infamously nicknamed “The Green Hell” by Formula One racer Jackie Stewart it is not difficult to understand why – the endurance race in the Eifel has attracted race teams and cars of all kinds throughout its myriad history and Toyota is no exception. This year, Toyota plans to enter the race under Toyota GAZOO Racing and is sending the C-HR Racing, a modified version of the C-HR Concept first debuted in 2014, with fellow Lexus RC and Lexus RC F to conquer the challenge.

The CUV-like appearance of the C-HR may not be what immediately comes to mind for someone to campaign this endurance race. There is no information on the power or drivetrain but surely we can assume it to be something more powerful than usual. Toyota President and team representative Akio Toyoda remarked that every year they make use of these challenging conditions to hone both their team members and cars. This is surely good exposure for the brand and we indeed look forward to seeing the road version of this latest Toyota CUV.
