Bandit9 has always approached motorcycles more like objects of industrial design than conventional customs, often stripping away familiar forms in favour of something cleaner, sharper and more sculptural. With its latest Ducati 821, that philosophy is applied to a machine with serious performance credentials. The result is a motorcycle that looks equally convincing on a track or displayed as a piece of contemporary design.
At the centre is Ducati’s 821 cc Testastretta V-twin, producing 110 hp and 89 Nm of torque. Bandit9 quotes 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 201 km/h, figures that give the bike genuine superbike pace despite its heavily reworked appearance. A custom tubular steel trellis and cast-aluminium frame supports the mechanical package, with Sachs suspension and Brembo brakes retained for proven performance. Dry weight is approximately 175 kg.
The real transformation comes from the bodywork. Bandit9 has created a flowing unibody design with far fewer visible parts than a conventional motorcycle, allowing the surfaces and transitions to become the main visual focus. Buyers can choose between hand-polished aluminium and a two-tone treatment combining race ABS and carbon fibre, with further colour options available. Polished fork covers, custom mirrors, bespoke mudguards and an aluminium-milled fuel cap continue the highly finished look.
A custom integrated exhaust sits tightly within the architecture, while the single-sided swingarm keeps the rear visually clean. LED lighting is incorporated throughout, and the seat uses high-density polyurethane foam rather than a more traditional padded form.
Only nine examples of the Bandit9 Ducati 821 will be built worldwide, each made to order over roughly six to eight months.
