Koenigsegg has unveiled its most focused creation to date — Sadair’s Spear. A track-bred marvel rooted in heritage and shaped by obsessive precision, this ultra-exclusive hypercar marks the next chapter in the Swedish marque’s relentless pursuit of performance.

The car’s name carries personal significance, honouring founder Christian von Koenigsegg’s father, Jesko, and his favourite racehorse, Sadair’s Spear, which Jesko rode in his final race as a gentleman jockey in 1976. Built on the foundations of the Koenigsegg Jesko, the new model features a sculpted carbon fibre body and the brand’s ferocious twin-turbo V8 engine. Power peaks at 1,300 hp on standard fuel and an astonishing 1,625 hp on E85, all delivered via Koenigsegg’s flywheel-free Light Speed Transmission. With a 35 kg weight reduction over the Jesko, Sadair’s Spear surpasses the mythical 1:1 power-to-weight ratio — an achievement unmatched by any other road-legal manufacturer.

On the aerodynamic front, a new top-mounted double-blade rear wing, revised air intakes, Gurney flaps, and active ride height combine to deliver maximum downforce and high-speed stability. These are complemented by bespoke Aircore carbon wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a reengineered suspension system for uncompromising agility.

Minimalism defines the interior, where sculpted carbon seats, a newly designed lightweight console, and racing harnesses reflect a pure, performance-driven ethos. Even sound insulation and interior trim have been pared back to save weight, though cutting-edge comforts remain firmly in place.
