Ahead of its official live reveal at this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy, BMW has just unveiled it’s upcoming 8 Series Concept Car.

The BMW Concept 8 Series is a preview of the BMW 8 series set to debut in 2018. The sporty and sleek two-door model combines an exterior that melds features of the past and the future with razor-sharp dynamics and modern luxury for a new benchmark in the luxury coupé segment. The BMW Concept 8 Series is immediately recognisable as a BMW but also presents new design ideas and form-building techniques.

As this version is only a concept, there are no technical details on power and performance available. But it is said that the actual production 8-Series coupe will go on sale in 2018 in Europe, with a convertible version for the U.S. is expected to follow in 2019.
