Prancing Horse, Literally
Riocam’s Ferrari Enzo Photoshoot

Miami-based Colombian photographer Camilo Rios, better known as Riocam, is famous for blending automotive culture with fashion-infused surrealism. His latest project may be his most striking yet, pairing a real horse with a full exposed-carbon Ferrari Enzo. Shot at the historic Hacienda de Pasteje in Mexico, the series takes the idea of the “prancing horse” and renders it with disarming literalism.

The shoot demanded extraordinary precision. Capturing a live horse mid-prance beside a supercar is as much a study of timing as of composition. The resulting images place the stallion and the Enzo in a kind of visual dialogue, with their forms echoing one another in profile, movement and posture. The contrast between organic muscle and carbon fibre weave gives the series a surreal, almost mythical energy.

The Ferrari Enzo itself is a rarity even before the artistic treatment begins. This example wears a full bare-carbon body with red accents and a matching interior, and is widely believed to be a unique one-off. Now owned by Mexican collector Don Huayra, who acquired it second-hand several years ago, it has become one of the most recognisable masterpieces in his garage.
