Planning for Migration
Mars Explorer concept by Daniel Chindris

These days most people are somewhat concerned about our planet and how to make living more sustainable. Issues that are always on the radar include the limitations of resources, climate change, various types of pollutions and potential overpopulation. While (nearly) all nations are joining forces to tackles these problems, some other solutions that are more thought provocative are also being discussed. Migrating to another planet is not something that just being talked about just in sci-fi movies. Some studies have shown that trying to create an environment mimicking the Earth’s ideal situation on Mars wouldn’t be entirely impossible.

With this in mind, British designer Daniel Chindris has developed the Mars Explorer concept for getting a better understand of the planet and evaluate the possibility for human life. The Mars Explorer can be operated autonomously or under the guidance of a human crew. It has different sensors such as light and temperature sensors to gather information of the Mars surface. The rover is powered by all electric motors and with zero emission, and can operate up to 72 hours in autonomous mode.
