New Horologist To Watch
Argon SpaceOne

Endless projects are being launched on Kickstarter daily, and while not all creations are able to meet the target required for a product launch, the SpaceOne watch created by Argon Watches received sufficient backing within 60 seconds of releasing, thanks to its stunning design and the solid team behind the project.

Argon SpaceOne is the brainchild of Theo Auffret, an independent watchmaker with a J.P. Journe Young Talent Competition award under his belt, and Guillaume Laidet, the entrepreneur behind the rebirth of Nivada and Vulcain. The new timepiece was previewed during the Geneva Watch Week Fair in March and was met with strong approval and anticipation.

The 42 x 51.67 mm case of the Argon SpaceOne clearly shows a neo-futuristic style inspired by science fiction, and is available in stainless steel, titanium, and forged carbon. The cockpit displays time via hour, minute, and second discs, powered by a jumping hour developed by Theo Auffret and the P024 SOPROD automatic movement with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 38 hours. Both the movement and the nine components of the jumping hour are made in Switzerland, while the watch is assembled in France and comes with black and orange rubber straps.

There is still time to back the project on Kickstarter before its crowdfunding ends on 10 June.
