Most Expensive New Car
Bugatti La Voiture Noire

For automakers having decades of history, it’s common to revisit the classics from yesteryears and reimagine them with modern design touches and technologies. For a brand established 110 years ago, Bugatti has transformed Jean Bugatti’s personal Type 57 SC Atlantic — the one that went missing during  World War II — into a special one off car La Voiture Noire.

The striking grand tourer features the same 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 engine with 1,479 hp and  1,600 Nm of torque as the Chiron Sport and Divo, but on La Voiture Noire perhaps even the most powerful engine would be shadowed by it’s stunning handcrafted carbon fibre body with the elegant waistline. Take a closer look under the gloss, rich black body paint you can see the ultrafine carbon fibre structure. Extensive grille can be found in the front and at the back, but the rear of the car is also highlighted by six tailpipes, full-width LED light strip and glowing Bugatti wordmark.

There is only one La Voiture Noire and it has already been sold to a Bugatti enthusiast. Priced at €11 million before tax and €16.7 million after, the unique black car is now the most expensive new car of all time.
