Xbox One S

During last month’s Xbox E3 conference, Microsoft officially launched their Xbox One S, and it’s already captured the attention of a lot of gamers. In addition to its upgraded hardware, the new smaller Xbox One S sports a different look from the four-year-old Xbox One. The smaller One S has morphed from cool black to all-white. At first glance, the new style reminds us of the Braun audio and video products designed by Dieter Rams.

After reducing the case’s volume by nearly 40%, Microsoft covered the Xbox One S shell with an elegant fine-pointed pattern in place of the original’s sharp, diagonal stripes and concealed the transformer internally. With the removal of the Kinect connection port, the entire machine appears to be simpler and neater. Finally, the controllers were slightly modified with added grooves for increased player control.

Combining the Xbox One S support of Blu-ray 4K Ultra HD picture quality with Microsoft’s refined design aesthetics provides a strong enticement for finding a place for it at home.

Combining a new modest footprint with the support of Blu-ray 4K Ultra HD picture quality and Microsoft’s substantially refined design aesthetics creates a strong enticement to bring a new Xbox One S home.
