Latest Formula 1 Car Unveiled
Ferrari SF-24

Scuderia Ferrari has become the latest team to unveil its 2024 Formula 1 challenger, ahead of the upcoming pre-season three-day test session set to take place in Bahrain next week. Presented to the world through an online event on February 13th, the Ferrari SF-24 marks the 70th car crafted by the marque for competition in Formula 1.

Reportedly, the new Ferrari F1 challenger has undergone a comprehensive redesign across all aspects, boasting a fresh platform that breaks away from the traditions of the past two years. Enrico Cardile, the team’s Technical Director for Chassis, has stated that the SF-24 promises improved drivability and the ability to push its limits with greater ease. Notable alterations include a revised angle for the sidepods, suggesting a refinement in the distribution of underfloor airflow.

Distinct from its predecessors, the livery design of the SF-24 introduces notable changes. For the first time, yellow longitudinal stripes are juxtaposed with white stripes on a matte-finished red body. Additionally, there’s a reduction in the usage of black on the race car, now limited to specific areas such as the floor, bargeboards, parts of the halo, and other minor sections. Both yellow and white hues are incorporated into the race numbers, displayed in Ferrari Sans, the marque’s official font, in italicized form.

Although speculation regarding Lewis Hamilton’s potential move to Ferrari in 2025 has dominated the motorsport headlines, the focus for the current season remains on drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, under the leadership of Team Principal Fred Vasseur. The 2024 F1 season is set to be the busiest ever, featuring a total of 24 races, commencing with the Bahrain race weekend from February 29th to March 2nd.
