It’s Payback Time
'Need for Speed Payback' preview

Need for Speed Payback, the latest game from the Need of Speed franchise, will be released at the end of this week and we had a chance to sample it before its official launch. For those who are not familiar with the series, Need for Speed Payback is not just about racing. There are elements of action driving – chasing down rivals, battling against the cops and causing other Hollywood Blockbuster-style mayhem.

The game features the largest open world in Need for Speed history. The locations vary from glamorous and gritty urban environments to mountains, forests and deserts, offering challenges like drag racing and off-road battles, as well as unique features like the ‘Big Run’ and ‘Drift Zone’.

If you’re craving jaw-dropping real-world vehicles then Need for Speed Payback will not disappoint. Buying new vehicles, getting upgrades from tune-up shops and showing off your collection are all part of the game, but there are special cars that cannot be bought. As explained previously, derelict cars have to be found and collected as pieces of scrap. Each derelict car is made up of five components scattered around the open world. Once all pieces are collected, the car can be further customised and upgraded to make it truly one-of-a-kind.

Need for Speed Payback will be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 10th.
