Bell & Ross BR-X2 Tourbillon Micro-Rotor

Bell & Ross, renown for its aircraft instrument inspired timepieces, has chosen in recent times to move its offerings in a more complicated direction.

Building on the success of the previously introduced BR-X1 Chronograph Tourbillon Sapphire, the newly released BR-X2 Tourbillon Micro-Rotor continues to use the same gravity-defying regulating organ but with a new self-winding, aesthetic angle. Utilising a novel construction the movement is effectively sandwiched between two pieces of sapphire, with the front pieces etched with the Bell & Ross logo, that mount onto a stainless steel frame which is the same thickness of the calibre BR-CAL.380.

This creates the illusion of a seamless design which when combined with monochromatic tones, gives a beautifully minimalist aesthetic proving, that even the most complicated watches can show a purity akin to the likes of Deiter Rams.
