Homage to Graphic Designers
Nike Air Max 180 2018 Collection

With Air Max Day just around the corner, Nike is launching a new Air Max 180 collection to celebrate the annual global event.

When the Air Max 180 first debuted in 1991, it made the dream of running on air a reality, thanks to its Air Max unit and its 180 degrees of visible air allowing direct contact between the Air unit and the road. The result not only made it an advancement in Nike technology, but it also forged a breakneck graphic aesthetic.

The initial releases, accompanied by a series of print and TV advertisements, were created by several graphic artists, including German Alfons Holtgreve, Italian Marcello Morandini and London-based artist Ralph Steadman. To pay homage to these graphic designers, Nike has come up with a trio of special-edition Air Max 180s, each rendered in a colourway derived from their respective 180 Air work from 1991.

The collection will be available at nike.com and select retailers starting from March 12.
