Vector to sell two 1993 Avtech WX3 prototypes for funding new hypercar

American automaker Vector has been quiet since last decade. They were last since in 2007 with the WX8 concept and apparently they are still working on the car. In order to fund the development of this 2,000 hp hypercar with a reported top speed of 442 km/h, two fully functioning 1993 Avtech WX3 prototypes are put on sell as a package.

Designed by Vector’s founder Gerald Wiegert, the Vector Avtech WX3 Coupe in aquamarine and Roadster in purple feature the same twin-turbo V8 engine with 1,000 hp, and were the first cars having twin-turbocharged engines and sequential shifting transmissions. Each would cost US$ 850,000 in 1993 and now the automaker is asking for US$ 3.5 million for both. On top of that, Vector will sign a 12 or 24 month buyback provision for both cars and will offer a bonus or stock of the company for getting back the company’s historical pieces.
