Future Phantom
2050 Rolls-Royce Phantom by Matthew Parsons

The all-new eighth-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom is set to be unveiled on July 27th at the Great Eight Phantoms event in London and expected to hit the road this coming autumn. Meanwhile, Johannesburg-based industrial designer Matthew Parsons has already revealed his vision of a Rolls-Royce of the future with his presentation of the 2050 Rolls-Royce Phantom conceptual design on Behance.

Since the introduction of the first Phantom in 1925 as a replacement for the original Silver Ghost, the iconic series has remained the most luxurious car ever made. For Parsons’ 2050 Rolls-Royce Phantom conceptual design, the artist took inspiration from the Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100 Concept, which debuted last year to honour the BMW Group’s centenary. His futuristic-looking renderings feature a recognisable front end dominated by the specific grille and slender headlights while sporting a dual-tone paintwork throughout the body.

As for now, the eighth-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom will be powered by a 6.6-litre N74 twin-turbocharged engine. Complete details of the car will be unveiled at the Great Eight Phantoms debut event. Stay tuned for more information.
