Full Performance with Roof Removed

A new open-cockpit variant of the mid-engined hybrid supercar has been introduced, claiming the title of the fastest open-top model in the manufacturer’s history. Developed with Formula 1-derived expertise, the Valhalla Spider retains the core performance of the coupe while adding the sensory thrill of open-air driving, all within a limited-production package.

At its heart lies a bespoke electrified powertrain combining a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-plane-crank V8 with three electric motors. The system produces a combined 1,079 PS (approximately 1,064 hp) and 1,100 Nm of torque. Two front-axle motors enable continuous torque vectoring, while a third motor is integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The result is 0-100 km/h acceleration in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph) when fitted with the optional carbon-fibre hardtop. A stowable fabric roof is standard but limits maximum speed to 200 km/h (124 mph).

Structural integrity is preserved through the same carbon-fibre monocoque used on the coupe, developed in partnership with Aston Martin Performance Technologies. Active aerodynamics remain highly sophisticated: a hidden front wing and dual-element rear T-wing that rises 255 mm in Race mode help generate more than 600 kg of downforce at 240 km/h. Calibrations automatically adapt for roof-on or roof-off driving. A three-piece wind deflector guides airflow over the occupants for greater comfort, while a raised roof scoop optimises cooling.

The open cockpit features a Formula 1-inspired low seating position. Standard Carbon Fibre Touring seats prioritise longer-distance comfort, with the more aggressive single-piece race seats available at no extra cost. Dihedral doors are retained, now frameless, and the interior offers extensive personalisation through the Q by Aston Martin programme, including tinted carbon finishes and bespoke liveries.

Chassis technology includes F1-inspired pushrod front suspension with inboard dampers, multilink rear suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, and Integrated Vehicle Control that coordinates powertrain, aerodynamics, and chassis systems in real time. The car tips the scales only modestly higher than the coupe despite the open-top conversion.

Pricing has not yet been announced, though it is expected to sit near the upper end of the supercar segment. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2027. The Valhalla Spider expands the appeal of an already extreme mid-engined hybrid without compromising the precision, downforce, or outright speed that define the nameplate.
