Porsche introduced the first 911 in 1963, and it has continued to evolve ever since, while remaining true to its original iconic design. Southern California-based surfboard brand Almond, founded in 2007, shares a similar appreciation for timeless aesthetics and precision engineering. This shared ethos led to its collaboration on the “Single Fins & Air-Cooled Engines” surfboard collection.
The collection takes inspiration from the mid-1960s, aligning with the formative years of surfboard design and the 911’s debut. Almond selected three retro Porsche paint colours—Polo Red, Bahama Yellow, and Irish Green—alongside the iconic Pink Pig racing livery from the 1971 24 Hours of Le Mans for the surfboards’ exterior. The boards come in two styles: the “Surf Thumps” longboard, measuring 9’11”, and the “Cash-Yew” glider at 7’10”. Buyers can also customize their racing numbers for a personal touch.
Each Porsche x Almond surfboard is handmade in California and individually numbered, with production limited to just 200 units. The collection also includes apparel and accessories such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, caps, patches, and key rings, allowing even non-surfers to enjoy the collaboration’s distinctive style.
