Following a multi-year partnership deal signed two years ago, Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer and British automaker Aston Martin have now released their third collaborative timepiece — a limited edition tourbillon chrono based on the Carrera Heuer 02T.
The new timepiece features a 45mm black PVD-coated titanium carbon case, while its carbon tachymeter fixed bezel minimises the weight of the watch while offering exceptional durability. The dial has an elegant brown colourway complemented by plenty of rose gold-plated components, including the hour marks, hands and sub-dials at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock, plus the Aston Martin and TAG Heuer logos.
The in-house Carrera Calibre Heuer 02T automatic chronograph movement is COSC-certified and has a power reserve of 65 hours, while the crown has been specially designed to feature a patterned rubber grip — a neat feature to complement Aston Martin’s racing spirit. The back of the watch is also stunning, with sapphire crystal windows allowing full appreciation of the movement and engraved lettering featuring “Aston Martin Edition” and “1 of 150” to acknowledge the exclusivity of the timepiece. A matching brown strap made from the same leather used in Aston Martin race cars further adds to its charm while appealing to motor-racing purists.
