With 50 years of experience in building the best quality speakers and related audio products, Bowers & Wilkins has exemplified all of its acoustic and design innovation skills amassed so far in their latest P9 Signature, the brand’s flagship over-ear headphones.
The headphones are engineered by the same team that worked on the 800 D3 speakers, the flagship model of the high-end 800 Series Diamond range, meaning the sound quality is sure to be extremely high. The midrange is delivered with transparency, the bass is rich but at the same time agile while the treble is open and crisp thanks to the new piston diaphragm speaker drivers. The acoustic cabinets are optimised to support the driver unit with Finite Element Analysis and the use of composites and aluminium, while the angled drivers also help to deliver a natural listening experience as if the musicians were right in front of you.
Sound quality aside, the materials used for crafting the headphones are equally top-notch. The headband and ear cups are crafted from Italian Saffiano leather and finished with a stamping technique for a distinctive cross-hatch look. The protective case is dressed in Alcantara and perfect for keeping the P9 Signature clean whilst not in use. Different length cables and a 6.3 mm jack adapter plug are included, while an Apple lightning cable will also be available early next year, making the P9 Signature a perfect option for both home and mobile listening.
