Engaging Young Fans
First Honda Pedal Car

Honda has introduced quite a few vehicles during SEMA. Other than the Rugged Open Air Vehicle concept, another interesting offer is the first official pedal car Honda ever made.

The First Honda pedal car concept referenced the Honda Project 2&4 concept race car developed for the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, dedicated to engaging young kids to become an enthusiast of  the Honda brand. Measuring at about 47 inches long, 22 inches wide and 24 inches high, the pedal car is compact in scale, but incorporates carbon fibre construction in its floor and rear “diffuser”. While it is powered by pedalling, the First Honda also contains a small, rechargeable lithium ion battery for powering lights. Under the “hood” is the snack compartment which hides a power bank  for charing mobile phone, using the same lithium ion battery. The 18-inch alloy wheels are taken from the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback production car. There is no mention from Honda on whether it is a one-off concept only or if they have any plan on release it. We hope it is the latter.
