Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4%

In the 121st Boston Marathon held on April 17, 2017, Nike-sponsored athletes Geoffrey Kirui, Galen Rupp, and Suguru Osako took first, second and third in the men’s elite field while Edna Kiplagat earned first and Jordan Hasay captured third in the women’s race. All of these athletes were wearing the latest Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4%, the most efficient and fastest marathon shoe that Nike has ever made.

The Zoom Vaporfly 4% utilises the same innovative technologies as the Breaking2 running shoe but also employs the newly designed ultra-light Nike ZoomX midsole foam that delivers additional energy return for marathon runners. It has a lightweight, full-length carbon fibre plate, with a nearly seamless one-piece Flymesh breathable upper to keep the foot cool from 5K to 26.2K. In lab tests, it measured roughly 4% better for running economy than Nike’s latest and fastest marathon racer, the Zoom Streak 6.

The Zoom Vaporfly 4% is now available at Nike.com and select Nike retailers worldwide.
