Coast Guard’s Timepiece
Bell & Ross Vintage Garde-Cotes

Bell & Ross has a history involving working with professional elite units all over the world, especially the French military. The design of the new models in their Garde-Côtes series has been influenced by the Coastguard in particular.

Two watches have been created in order to better suit the specific requirements of those working for ocean search and rescue teams. The V2-92 Garde-Côtes is crafted based on a diving watch; its rotating bezel with 60-minute scale is designed for timing underwater operations. The V2-94 Garde-Cotes has the basics of a pilot chronograph watch, with additional pulsimeter on the bezel, an essential tool for rescuers to measure the heart rate of patients. The chronograph push-pieces are screwed in for optimised water-resistance and security.

Both the V2-92 and V2-94 are based on the existing Bell & Ross Vintage three hands and chronograph models and feature the BR-CAL.302 automatic mechanical movement and the BR-CAL.301 automatic mechanical chronograph movement respectively. Both watches have made use of grey and orange, the paint colours commonly found on rescue helicopters of the French Marine, and are water resistant to 100 metres.
