1942 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Spider

The Alfa Romeo 6C is synonymous with ultra-valuable machinery. It was built between 1927 and 1954, with different variations including the SS Spider road-going version produced from 1938 to 1952. While the model has gone through many guises, all were built in small quantities and retained their luxurious and elegant identity.

The pictured 1942 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Spider will be put up for auction at RM Sotheby’s “Arizona 2018 – A Century of Sports Cars” sale on January 18th to 19th, with an estimate of USD 900,000 to 1,100,000. While RM Sotheby’s has yet to release the technical specifications of the car, the 6C family is usually fitted with a 2.4-litre inline-six cylinder engine, generating around 110 hp. Looking at the images, it seems as though this historical beauty is in excellent condition, with beautiful curves flowing in classic black and red tones.
