Toyo Tires's Display at SEMA

Tyres may not be the element taking centre stage in the world of automotive customisation, yet changing the tyres alone is enough to give your car a completely different look and it’s quick and easy. In the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Toyo Tires will have a huge presence, debuting over 30 new vehicle builds created by various tuners in addition to displaying their extensive range of products.

Catching our attention is the Button Built Ferrari “BB355TT” based on a 1999 Ferrari Berlinetta. This wide-body Berlinetta now has the “Azzuro la Plata” light blue shade first seen on a 1967 275GTB Le Mans race car. With new carbon fibre splitters, rear wing, rear diffuser and more, the exterior is completed with carbon fibre seats and six-point roll cage. Power comes from the highly modified 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8.

Then there is the one-off 1970 Ford Mustang Fastback now dubbed Ruffian Mustang. Created by Chris Ashton from his small garage and inspired by the vintage Trans-Am Championship, the Mustang is now interestingly powered by a 625 hp Chevrolet LS3 engine.

The 1971 Ford Bronco is the work of blogger and builder DEFCONBRIX, which took six months to complete including the Coilover suspension, modern Coyote engine and custom red leather and suede interior. The 2020 Toyota GR Supra Widebody and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 5 Widebody are equally eye-catching. The former features a full 17-piece Pandem body kit, GT Wing and 19-inch wheels for full-blown race appearance, while the 1998 Evo 5 has a Varis ASSO widebody kit plus 4G63 engine upgraded to push  450 hp.
