LEGO Icons Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole

LEGO is set to launch the Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole model under the LEGO Icons vehicle collection next month.

Known for its sharp, angular design and scissor doors, the Lamborghini Countach was introduced in 1974 and quickly became one of the most iconic supercars ever made, thanks to its revolutionary aesthetics. Featuring a powerful V12 engine and rear-wheel drive, the Countach set new standards in automotive design. Although its production ended in 1990, the futuristic design and groundbreaking engineering established Lamborghini as a leader in the supercar industry. Specifically, the 5000 Quattrovalvole model, produced between 1985 and 1988, featured a 5.2-litre V12 engine with four valves per cylinder, making it a pinnacle of 1980s supercar culture.

The LEGO Icons scale replica comprises an impressive 1,506 pieces and measures 16 cm wide, 34 cm long, and over 9 cm tall when completed. Aimed at adult enthusiasts, the Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole in brick form boasts an array of authentic and movable features. The model includes a sleek rear spoiler, large taillights, and deep-dish rims, but the highlight is undoubtedly the signature scissor doors that open upwards just like the original. Lift the rear hood, and you can see a meticulously crafted V12 engine inside the engine bay. Additionally, the model features a working steering wheel and a detailed cockpit with a period-correct dashboard and audio system, perfectly completing the retro style.
