Germany’s GTR Parts has dedicated its expertise to Porsche for years. Specialising in spare parts for all air-cooled and classic 911s, the company operates both online and offline, undertaking commission projects to build and restore Porsches. Occasionally, it also offers modified 911s for sale. One of the current offerings is this stunning Porsche 911 Safari, built from a 1986 911 3.2.
The original Porsche 911 3.2 G-model was in good condition without defects or damage when the project began. Over 700 hours of work were dedicated to its transformation. The team at GTR Parts completely dismantled and ice-blasted the vehicle, fully rebuilding the bodywork with new flared fenders, shortened bumpers, a special ducktail spoiler at the rear, and more. Originally silver, the exterior is now shaded in black olive, complemented by blackened metal parts and trims, and an all-black Porsche logo. The headlights have been converted to LED while maintaining the original aesthetic.
The original 231hp 3.2-litre engine and 915 gearbox remain but both have been thoroughly overhauled. New mechanical parts have been added, including suspension and brakes.
The interior has not been neglected, featuring a black roll cage to make it off-road ready, Rallye sports seats, an original Porsche sports steering wheel, and a period-correct Blaupunkt classic radio.
The completely transformed 911 Safari is listed at €180,000. More details can be viewed on Elferspot.
