A New Representative
Smart Forease

With the Smart brand celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, a new show car will be launched at the Paris Motor Show this week, carrying the brand’s vision on urban driving fun in a refreshing and, of course, an emission-free way.

The two-seat roadster concept pays tribute to the pioneering Smart concept vehicles such as the Crossblade from 2001 and Forspeed from 2011, sharing the same openness and minimalistic style. The concept is also based on the production Smart EQ Fortwo Cabrio, so it is completely drivable even though no specific figures were given.

Focusing on what is essential for urban driving enjoyment, Smart Forease has an eye catching metallic white body with sliver Tridion cell and contrasting green accents, which can inside the air vents, on headlamps and wheels and inside the cabin. An interesting design can be found on the instrument panel,  as two round displays are found in place of centre air vents for presenting content from the “ready to” app.

Smart is also dedicated to move towards being a pure electric car brand. Smart has been selling only electric vehicles in the USA, Canada and Norway since 2017, with plans to extend it to Europe in 2020 and the rest of the world soon after.
