A Look At Things To Come
BMW Vision Neue Klasse Concept

BMW has offered a glimpse into the future of its automotive design with the BMW Vision Neue Klasse concept. This innovative project pays homage to the iconic Neue Klasse range from the early 1960s, known for its groundbreaking impact on the future of BMW styling at the time.

The BMW Vision Neue Klasse embraces a clean and minimalist design ethos, featuring a nearly monolithic vehicle body with subtle, defining lines that create a timeless silhouette. The iconic kidney grille seamlessly integrates with the double headlights, forming a cohesive interaction display area at the front. Its distinctive forward-slanting “shark nose” front end, pronounced wheel arches, and 21-inch cross-spoke wheels exude a powerful and athletic presence.

In line with BMW’s commitment to sustainability, the concept promises impressive advancements. It boasts a 30% faster charging speed, a 30% increase in range, and a 25% boost in efficiency when compared to current BMW eDrive technology. The vehicle also emphasizes the use of secondary raw materials and more efficient production methods. Notably, the interior is designed without decorative chrome or leather to reduce the carbon footprint during production. The expansive window areas flood the cabin with natural light, creating a welcoming ambience complemented by bright cord fabrics and a light-coloured instrument panel.

The upcoming iDrive display and operating system are also set to revolutionize the driving experience. With the BMW Panoramic Vision and an enhanced 3D head-up display, crucial information is projected at the ideal height within the driver’s line of sight, spanning the entire width of the windscreen. A multifunctional steering wheel equipped with buttons and voice control, alongside an intelligent personal assistant, minimizes the need for analogue controls. Additionally, the content displayed on the central screen can be effortlessly shared with passengers by projecting it onto the windscreen.
