Founded by Chinese-American designer Sarah Law in 2013, KARA is a New York-based womenswear accessories label offering functional minimalist designs fused with urban aesthetics. For the Fall 2017 season, Law has expanded into menswear by launching her first men’s bag collection titled “KARA MAN”.

The capsule collection comprises three different silhouettes, including a backpack, a briefcase and a duffle bag. The idea comes from Sarah’s father who used to race cars on the streets of Hong Kong and has always been one of the largest influences and role models in her life. Along with his inspiration, Sarah also takes design cues from French director Claude Lelouch’s iconic 1976 film, “C’était un Rendez-Vous”, which depicts a driver’s early morning high-speed drive through the streets of Paris.
