The Records

At 18 years, seven months, & 16 days old, Max Verstappen overtakes Sebastian Vettel as the youngest driver to win a Grand Prix in F1’s 66-year history. He also claims two more of Vettel’s records: the youngest podium finisher and the youngest driver to lead a race, set back in 2007. He is the first Dutch winner in F1 history. The last Dutch driver to stand on a podium was his father Jos, in 1994.

The Statement

Rosberg remains the current championship leader by 43 points. Over the last two seasons, Rosberg chose to give way to teammate Hamilton many, many times to avoid a crash and received scores of rebukes from the press and fans. This season will be different. With his opening move, Rosberg is saying “I am drawing the line here; there’ll be no racing space on my inside.”
