Celebrating Enzo Ferrari's birthday with a photo exhibition

Enzo Anselmo Ferrari, the son of Alfredo and Adalgisa, was born in Modena on 18 February 1898 and had an unbridled passion for cars right from his early childhood days. To celebrate the 120th anniversary of Enzo Ferrari’s birth, the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena has organised a photographic exhibition to showcase precious images of the renowned car manufacturer at various stages of his life.

“It seems incredible to think that Enzo Ferrari was born in the 19th century,” says Chairman and CEO Sergio Marchionne. “His lesson is more relevant than ever and his modernity unquestionable. He was a man with extraordinary vision and ability to manage people and resources as well as a strong entrepreneurial spirit and exceptional courage. One wonders what he could have achieved if he had had access to today’s technical resources and knowledge. The mark that he left on the world remains a source of pride for all of us at Ferrari and for the whole of Italy.”

Featuring rarely-exhibited images from Enzo Ferrari’s infancy to adulthood, then as a driver, a manager and finally a constructor alongside iconic champions like Nuvolari, Castellotti and Villeneuve, the exhibition enables viewers to appreciate how he became one of the most influential personalities not only of the automotive industry but also 20th century.
