Truck for Audi

Two upcoming designers’ project for producing unmanned electric trucks for Audi is fascinating. Designer Artem Smirnov, from Minsk, Belorussia and Vladimir Panchenko, a CAD sculptor and digital 3D modeler from Kharkiv, Ukraine, are the masterminds behind the “Truck for Audi” project. The duo has uploaded two proposals on the creative designers’ site Behance and is asking netizens to voice their preference.

They have mentioned that their original plan was to design just one autonomous truck for Audi. However, at the project’s sketch stage they shortlisted two options: Option A was a truck for highways; Option B was a truck for auto show demonstrations. They intended to develop both options side-by-side to find the best solution but in the end, they couldn’t make a selection. From the initial internet responses, it seems that the black and red Option B is slightly more preferable, despite some opinions nixing the otherworldly silhouette of both designs. Whichever option garners the most returns doesn’t matter; it is more valuable to discover if this type of promotion of two differing conceptual creations increases the public’s enthusiasm towards automobile design.
