The Rebellious Minimalist
Converse DISRUPT CX by Converse x TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist.

If you are also a fan of monotone colour scheme, do check out the newest collaboration between Converse and TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist.  It is not their first-time to work hand in hand.  Following the recent two collaborations for Jack Purcell and ERX 269 Hi in 2019, this time they have chosen CX Disrupt for their new crossover.

This new CX Disrupt is a good demonstration of Converse’s minimal style and the rebellious character of Takahiro Miyashita.  Available in only white and black iterations; you can really find merely these two colours on each pair.  Such a dramatic contrast has been accentuated by the diversified texture and uncommon structure all over the surface, from the simple plain stretchy fabric, the embossed tonal Converse patch on the inner side to the bold and robust sole with a debossed crisscross.  The sole has been split into two sections, with the mid-sole extruded at the rear side.

The unique style of TheSoloist has been added in the opposite colour in word form.  There is an “I AM THE SOLOIST” branding on the triangular rubber mid-panel tab, and then a “HELLO! I AM THE SOLOIST. SINCE 2010” phrasing printed symmetrically alongside the medial-side mid-panel.  Making this tonal sneaker even more unusual.

This new CX Disrupt will be available from Mar 12, priced at HK$1,199.
