The Portofino Has Arrived
Ferrari Portofino launches in Hong Kong

Ferrari’s incredible new drop-top grand tourer, the Portofino, made its debut in Hong Kong tonight.

Unveiled at the historic The Peninsula Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui by official Ferrari dealer of Hong Kong Blackbird Concessionaires, the highly-anticipated convertible hardtop Portofino floored attendees with its aggressive yet elegant looks and svelte roofless silhouette as the cover was removed. To celebrate the new arrival, the iconic hotel facade was bathed in a signature Ferrari Rosso Corsa red, complete with the unmistakable Cavallino Rampante motif  — a very rare occurrence that shows just how important this new car is to both Ferrari and the Hong Kong market.

Paul Smyth, President of Ferrari Greater China, said, “The Ferrari Portofino strikes the perfect balance between performance and versatility. It is designed for daily driving and effortlessly converts from an authentic ‘berlinetta’ coupé into a drop-top, delivering a unique Ferrari soundtrack and superb driving pleasure. This new member of the Cavallino Rampante family is set to become a new dream car for Ferrari owners and fans.”

Powered by a 600 CV twin-turbocharged V8, the rear-driven Portofino is a masterpiece of automotive engineering, bristling with new technology, clever aerodynamics and bulletproof engineering that all culminates in a lighter, faster, more comfortable and better-handling drop top gran turismo. Capable of a 3.5-second 0-100kph sprint and a top speed of 320kph, the Portofino might be luxurious and day-to-day usable, but it’s far from a show pony. Pricing starts from 3.5 million HKD, leaving only one question… “How can I get one?”
