Elon Musk seems to be keep on boosting his companies’ cashflow with products outside of the norm. Earlier this year we were introduced to the flamethrower from The Boring Company, the latest one is the Tesla surfboard developed by the carmaker’s team inn collaboration with Lost Surfboards and surfboard shaper Matt “Mayhem” Biolos.

Limited to 200 units only, the surfboard shares the same finishes of Tesla cars and is reinforced with carbon fibre. It can also be fitted inside or on top of Model S, X and 3. The US$ 1,500 price tag did not stopped the shoppers as the surfboard has been sold out. A few units are available on eBay if you don’t mind pay three times its original price.

Apart from developing electric cars, the hyperloop brand as well as the plan of human migration to Mars, is Elon Musk trying to extend Tesla or any of his brands into a hip lifestyle brand, with regular drops of surprising limited editions? That would be interesting.
