Stylishly Practical
Fisker Alaska

Pickup trucks prove to be highly practical for everyday errands, particularly when occasional hauling and towing tasks are on the agenda. With an increasing number of people opting for electric vehicles for their next car purchase, Tesla’s Cybertruck has of course generated a huge amount of interest, but unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the last few years, you’ll also know that its distinctive exterior design does not appeal to everyone. For those seeking a high-quality pickup with a more conventional yet stylish appearance, the Fisker Alaska presents itself as a compelling alternative. The automaker has recently confirmed its availability outside the United States.

Unveiled during Fisker’s Product Vision Day last year, the Alaska is an all-electric four-door pickup built on the Fisker Ocean SUV’s platform. Fisker aims to position the Alaska as the world’s lightest and most sustainable electric pickup when deliveries commence in 2025. A standout feature of this pickup is its extendable cargo bed, which allows for various cargo configurations. Thanks to the electronically controlled ‘Houdini’ divider behind the rear seats, the cargo bed can be extended from 4.5 feet to an impressive 7.5 feet. With the powered liftgate dropped and the rear seats lowered, the bed reaches an outstanding length of 9.2 feet.

The Alaska offers two battery pack options – 75 kWh and 113 kWh – providing a range of 230 to 340 miles. Depending on the chosen electric motor, the pickup boasts a 0-60 mph time as fast as 3.9 seconds. Fisker has also infused the cabin with both fun and practical elements, including the world’s largest gulp cupholder, a dedicated cowboy hat holder, cockpit storage for work gloves, a spacious centre armrest with storage for flashlights and pens, and a passenger tray with a tablet holder. These features contribute to the distinctive character of the Alaska.
