German aftermarket tuner Pogea Racing has transformed an already quick Fiat 500 Abarth into a street-bound rocket by heavily modifying the factory-fitted 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, allowing it to produce over 400hp along with 328 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to the extreme makeover, the stout 500 Abarth-turned-mind-blowing-Ares now explodes to a top speed at 179 mph, accelerating from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds.

The “rocket booster” engine fitted in the “Ares” arrives with plenty of the right stuff; new pistons, connecting rods, exhaust valves, crankshaft, camshaft and oil cooler, all snug beneath a carbon-fibre wide-body kit.

Pogea Racing will produce five mind-bending “Ares” models, starting at €58,950. The stars await.
