Setting the New Standard
Montblanc Summit

Montblanc is a brand with over a century of history, but they are keen on being innovative or even revolutionary and without being stuck in the past achievements. They are famous for their classic pens but have launched the digitally supported Augmented Paper writing set. Similarly, they acquired the Swiss movement maker Minerva, yet they are also tapping into the smartwatch market with the release of Montblanc Summit which is pre-loaded with Android Wear 2.0.

Partnering with Qualcomm Technologies Inc., Montblanc Summit features Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor for the best performance and extended battery life. It sports a 1.39-inch high resolution AMOLED display and is IP68 certified, meaning the watch is dust and water resistant and good enough for daily use. It also has a microphone for voice controls and several fitness sensors: heart rate monitor and other walk and sports monitors; gyroscope and e-compass for location; barometer for the altitude; and ambient light sensor for adjusting display’s brightness automatically. The smartwatch can be charged via micro USB on a magnetic dock. It can be connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and with 4GB flash memory, it is possible to sync the watch or play music without a phone.

The brand’s traditional craftsmanship spirit has not be forgotten. Montblanc Summit comes with a 46 mm case and is available in three material and styling options: black PVD coated steel, bi-colour steel with stainless steel case and black PVD coated bezel and satin finish titanium Grade 5. The smartwatch also features a crown button inspired by the iconic design from the 1858 collection, as well as functionalities found on mechanical watches such as calendar, sub-seconds dial and timer.
